Why I Don’t Want Meghan McCain To Stop Talking
Muzzling the opposition won’t make them go away.
On December 16, 2019, the hot topics segment of the talk show The View started to sizzle when the women began to talk over each other. Meghan McCain was determined to get her opinions heard when Whoopi Goldberg shut her down by saying “Girl, please stop talking.”
I want to hear what Meghan McCain has to say. She doesn’t resort to saying middle of the road rhetoric out of fear of offending anyone. She gives us an honest glimpse into the mind of a conservative. We need this type of honesty.
Co-host Abby Huntsman is the other conservative at the table but she often sprinkles her views with generic positive mumbo jumbo that fans of the show criticize as not adding anything to the conversation. I like her positivity but I think McCain’s firm points of view balance out the show.
I like that Meghan McCain is grounded in her beliefs and that she is passionate about sharing those beliefs. She doesn’t waver or give in to the opposition no matter how strong they come at her.
Whether you agree with her politics or not, you have to respect her strength and admire her for not caving in to the pressure and standing on her principles.
