What she is saying is that she and other gun lovers are open to talking about closing the loopholes to prevent guns from getting into the wrong hands but if your only response is to take away their guns completely then there will be no conversation. We can bury our heads in the sand and spew the same rhetoric against gun-loving conservatives but it is not going to change anything. There needs to be a conversation and for that to happen there needs to the willingness to compromise so that a conversation can be had and only then will change happen. Americans are not turning over their guns any time soon so we do need to have a different conversation. I am not a Meghan McCain fan and I hate guns but she is right.
