It’s often the choice of choosing sin over God. When we are convicted and repent we have a chance to start a fresh connection with God. It’s when we choose to go back to the sin that our relationship with God suffers. At this point we are often living conflicted and miserable. We know the right thing to do but we continue to choose to do the wrong thing. So, we move further and further away from God.
