- I used to believe that living in the now was the answer. Now, I’m not so sure. If we live in the now we may get caught up in living for pleasure and the flesh. I feel that I should be living to serve God and because of that servitude the future is important. The reward of eternal life in heaven awaits in the future. That future dictates how I live my now.
