I think he’s on a spiritual journey, trying to figure things out. When he said slavery was a choice it was because he follows the New Age law of attraction spirituality that says everything that happens to you is because you’ve brought it upon yourself with your thoughts. He’s for sure on the wrong path but I’m not sure it is because of his mental health. Many people fall into the same trap he is in now. We try to find a way to combine our worldly lifestyle with Christianity and it doesn’t work. You can not serve God and the world. There is only one path.
