Honest writing is the courage to put your thoughts and feelings on display for the public to judge. This is why many people deliver watered down, censored versions of how they really feel. I notice the great writers are the ones who go all in and display the good and the bad. Some people may disagree, some may even criticize but at least honest writing receives authentic feedback. I love the Ray Bradbury quote because that is what honest writing is like, navigating landmines.
