Black people do not think the world is against them. We just want people to acknowledge that we are treated differently and or targeted simply because of the color of our skin. It’s just a sad fact that a black man will probably not receive the same treatment from law enforcement as you. Although we want to think we treat everyone fairly, the truth is seeing a certain race, tattoos, a style of dress, accent etc. conjures up biases that may be subconscious but it’s there. I still go out in the world with the mindset that people are basically good and expect that people will treat me fairly but I can not ignore the negative treatment that my people of color endure daily.
